Laser Microcavities

The laser characterization platform of the D'Alembert Institute provides various testing modalities of photonic components in passive or laser emission configurations.




A 2D optical bench allows for the testing of vertically pumped components with detection along the substrate plane. Moreover, an original 3D solid angle scanner provides detection and pumping in all directions of space, with a steering precision of the order of the micron. The collecting fibre is coupled to a spectrometer and to a highly sensitive cooled camera allowing to reach a spectral resolution down to 0.05 nm in the visible range.
